Once again the Discovery Channel is devoting an entire week to sharks. I live for Shark Week. My fascination with sharks began when I was a child. As soon as I saw the movie "Jaws", I was hooked. Since then i've seen every and any movie that has a shark in it. Jaws 1-4, Shark Attack 1-3, Deep Blue Sea, Open Water, Red Water, Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, and the list goes on. My love for sharks has also caused me some problems... mentally. You see, i've had the pleasure of swimming in the ocean on more than one occasion. Every time I have, there is always this one moment where something just doesn't feel right. This is usually when the Jaws theme plays in my head and I begin rapidly swimming to shore to examine the coast line. Better safe than sorry! This occasionally happens to me while swimming in lakes as well . Ridiculous! Regardless of the mental damage it's doing to me, I will continue watching Shark Week as long as it keeps airing. Keep up the good work Discovery Channel!
